Our Commitment
to Transparency
At Dreamers Mothers in Action (DMIA), trust begins with honesty. We believe our community, supporters, and partners deserve to know how we grow, how we use our resources, and the difference we make together.
As a nonprofit committed to advocating for the rights and dignity of all individuals, we are dedicated to openly sharing the measurable impact we are making.

Building Stronger Communities
We bring families, workers, and neighbors together to support one another, develop leaders, and build the power to create change.

Labor Justice & Fair Policies
We stand with domestic and care workers to advocate for fair wages, safer workplaces, and stronger labor protections.

Access to Essential Resources
We connect families with trusted partners and resources for legal support, food, healthcare, housing, and other essential needs.

Member Growth
What began as a small group of immigrant mothers has grown into a network of families, workers, and community leaders. Together, we’re reaching more people, developing new leaders, and making our collective voice stronger.
Areas Reached
Our work reaches communities throughout Northern Virginia and Richmond, while our bilingual virtual workshops welcome participants from beyond these areas.

Recognized Leadership Efforts

Encourage civic participation and community leadership.
We help community members gain confidence, learn about their rights, and take part in decisions that shape their lives.
Strengthen alliances for equitable access to essential resources
We join forces with trusted organizations and community partners to connect families with resources, opportunities, and support.

Promote fair labor policies for domestic workers
We organize domestic and care workers to speak up, advocate for fair treatment, and help shape policies that respect their dignity.
